" All water has a perfect memory and is forever trying to get back to where it was " – Toni Morrison

“The weather is the totality of our environments; the weather is the total climate; and the climate is antiblack” – Christina Sharpe, In the Wake: On Blackness and Being (2016)

Weather Report is a broadcast attendant to the ecological relationships that sustain – and at times threaten – Black life. Join us on second Wednesdays to examine Black folks’ multiplicitous relationships with the lands, waters, air and movements making up what we might consider the weather. The Report connects experiences of nature through Black oral and literary traditions, a picture of the grief, hope and regenerative possibilities held within our environments. Interviews, news round ups, speculative fiction and other segments are interspersed with a natural selection of music by MacKenzie River.
